One of My Contacts Just Came Through in a Big Way

For the past year I’ve been hitting up my contacts in the defense industry, in the Pentagon, and at military bases across the country.

And I’ve been asking them one simple question: What’s next?

It almost goes without saying at this point that AI tops the list.

OF COURSE they're all talking about AI.

Problem is, I’ve been talking about AI for the past three years.

I even steered my Secret Stock Files subscribers into a 139% gain on C3.ai (NYSE: AI) just last year. And I’ve got another AI play in that portfolio that’s up more than 300%.

But those gains are already in the books. The cat is out of the bag on AI.

Now I don’t need to know what’s current. I need to know what’s next.

Well, thankfully, a friend of mine at Edwards Air Force Base in California came through…

He told me about something completely different — something I’d never heard about before.

He called it a “drone.”

At first I was unimpressed. I’ve been writing about AI for years, but I’ve been writing about drones for more than a decade.

“No,” he said. “You don't understand. It’s a drone that carries people.”

That’s when he described this new, futuristic flying machine — a flying machine that could be piloted by a drone operator on the ground and used to carry soldiers, mechanics, and cargo across the 470-square-mile base.

That’s what it’s doing as we speak — the culmination of a four-year project that began in 2020 known as Agility Prime.

This is the Pentagon’s official effort to adopt electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles (EVTOLs).

EVTOL aircraft have a huge advantage over traditional helicopters because they’re so much quieter — not to mention cleaner and cooler.

They also require less maintenance (oil changes, refueling, etc.), and the motors have just one moving part.

That means the vehicles have numerous practical applications — conducting patrols and moving troops around sprawling bases. But it also means they’re ideally suited for stealth missions.

Like I said, EVTOLs are not only quieter than helicopters and other gas-powered vehicles — they run cooler. That is, the aircraft’s electric motor provides a smaller heat signature, making it less of a target for heat-seeking weapons or infrared detection.

Additionally, since they can be controlled remotely, you don’t have to risk the life of a pilot to send them into contested areas.

These aircraft are small, efficient, quiet, and perfectly suited for small-scale special operations. No wonder they’re catching on in the military.

Right now they’re just an experiment. But from what I’m hearing, the experiment has been a rousing success.

After just getting one of these aircraft, Edwards Air Force base is now set to receive three more in short order. And they’re only going to proliferate throughout the armed services from there.

More importantly, though, they’re also going commercial. These amazing new aircraft are set to take off in New York City next year and Dubai after that.

They’re going to be the talk of the town when they do. So smart investors need to get in now.
