The ONLY Thing Tucker Carlson and AOC Agree On

The federal government — nearly all of it, for that matter — is pushing a lie on Americans to get them to willingly give up even more freedoms.

And the only people who seem to notice fall on two very different extremes of the political spectrum…

You see, under the veil of a ban on Chinese-owned social media app TikTok, the government is trying to give themselves unlimited power to monitor and censor the online lives of 330 million Americans.

It’s a bipartisan bill proposed by a group of Democrats and Republicans…

It’s got the support of the White House, too…

But that doesn’t mean it’s got anything but trouble in it for average Americans like you and me (no matter what our political leanings happen to be).

Restricting Your Freedom

The act in question is the “Restricting the Emergence of Security Threats that Risk Information Communications Technology” (or RESTRICT Act for short)…

But it does anything but restrict the powers of the federal government.

And that’s probably why both Tucker Carlson on the far right and extreme progressive Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are both railing against it.

It doesn’t just let the government go after one specific company with obvious ties to the totalitarian Chinese government.

It opens the doors for the government to go after any company (or any person) it deems a threat.

And it removes the protection of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in the process.

Now, ever since Nancy Pelosi famously said that “we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what’s in it,” I’ve been concerned by anything that comes out of D.C.

And I think we can all agree that anything our government does that removes something with the word “freedom” in the name should be viewed with extra caution.

So let’s take a look at the RESTRICT Act and what it’s really all about: power.

When You Control the Internet, You Control the Information

In the wake of the hearings on Capitol Hill to look into the government censorship revealed by the #TwitterFiles reports, the U.S. government is in a desperate fight to maintain its grasp on information.

It wants to be the sole authority on what is fact and what is fiction. And it wants the ability to punish anyone it sees as an impediment to that total control.

That’s what this bill is all about. It’s not about TikTok. It’s not even about foreign countries.

In fact, thanks to the Patriot Act (another massive power grab), any American could be deemed a “foreign adversary,” if the government decides it wants to deem them as such.

The Director of National Intelligence and the Secretary of Commerce (neither of whom are elected officials, mind you) will be given the ability to universally designate new “foreign adversaries” without notifying Congress (who are elected officials)…

And once that determination is made, all your rights go right out the window.

The bill would support any action deemed necessary to mitigate the threat, throw due process out with the trash, and provide little to no limit on potential punishments.

When You Control the Information, You Control the Freedom

And if that’s not scary enough, the bill also includes a section that explicitly states it is not under the purview of the Freedom of Information Act!

That says, in no uncertain terms, that EVERYTHING the government does related to the enforcement of this bill, if it were to become law, would remain a secret from the public FOREVER!

Now, why, if they’re not doing something completely nefarious and unscrupulous, would they need to write a layer of secrecy into the bill?

It’s because they are planning on using these measures for nefarious acts. And it doesn’t matter if you’re a Republican, Democrat, or Independent…

They could and they will use these new powers to come after you.

Just like they did when they gave themselves permission to spy on 330 million Americans by passing the Patriot Act (which was anything but patriotic).

When You Control the Money, You Control the Masses

And it’s no surprise that this bill is making its way through D.C. at the exact same time that the government is attacking cryptocurrencies through targeted attacks against the remaining private, unregulated exchanges out there.

It’s also no surprise that the timing lines up perfectly with the Federal Reserve and Treasury Departments moves to introduce a government-controlled digital currency.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the U.S. government is putting the screws to private enterprises it deems to have too much power while simultaneously setting the stage for its own central bank digital currency, or CBDC.

They want absolute power and absolute control of all of our lives, Democrat and Republican alike.

It should be terrifying to any and every person who calls themselves an American.

Because it will affect EVERY American citizen…

The collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and the “regional bank crisis” is all the fuel they need to launch a digital version of the country's fiat currency controlled directly by the central bank.

This control grants the government unprecedented power over the issuance, distribution, and regulation of digital transactions, far surpassing their oversight of traditional cash transactions.

And the Chinese government’s connection to TikTok was all they needed to convince millions of otherwise sane people to pray for Big Government censorship and our very own version of the Great Firewall that cuts off China's citizens from free online expression.

It’s Time We Look Out for Ourselves

Now, look, I honestly wish this wasn’t the case. And I hope the few sensible heads who remain in government are able to block the bill’s passage.

But all my research and all the research my colleagues here have done says otherwise…

That’s why we’ve compiled a simple step-by-step strategy for protecting your freedom (and wealth) from the government’s massive overreach.

And there’s a good chance it could get scrubbed from the internet without even a moment’s notice.
