With everyone carrying smartphones and tablets these days, it only makes sense to have an investing app or two. But with thousands of them available, it can be hard to find the best ones.
There are certain factors that make investing apps effective for researching investments on the go:
-
Updated Regularly – It’s particularly important that these apps are updated regularly. When you open it, you should have the most up-to-the-minute numbers available.
-
Fast – No one wants to sit around waiting for a device to load the latest stock prices. For that reason, you want an app that brings up the prices within just a few seconds.
-
Chock Full of Features – An app should have as much information as possible. This includes price history, company information, news, and expert advice.
-
Easily Navigable – Having a lot of features is good, but having too many at once or having them hidden can deter from the main features. The app should have an easy layout that makes sensea.
With these factors, let’s look at the top investing apps available today.

Next, we selected CNBC. This has all the same features of Bloomberg’s app, but it includes all of the interviews CNBC conducts every single day. In fact, there are at least 100 interviews with experts a day that are posted online, which feeds into the app.
This can be a great supplement to the Bloomberg app if you want more information. CNBC’s interface is not as attractive as Bloomberg’s, but it could be a visual preference.

One of the unique features of this app is that it provides a weekly portfolio update. This app is best used with a more news centric apps, such as Bloomberg or CNBC, but it is much more individualized for investors. It’s particularly good for carrying your portfolio around with you.
